Stolen from :iconcyanbirddog: XD

So I've seen a lot of people making new accounts after being banned, I've also had plenty of people come to me after being banned, asking me how to become unbanned, so I thought I'd go ahead and make a journal about this.

I've been banned twice, and it's like a game of softball/baseball, 3 strikes, but each time you get banned, the longer you have to wait to get your account back, though I don't believe it's only 3 chances, though I would advise NOT even trying to make it so.

So, to those who make new accounts after being banned,
STOP, DO NOT
do this. This is another bannable offense called 'Ban Evading', it is very simple to message deviantART to Appeal your account!

First, when you realize you've been banned, you will see a ''!'' by your name, and you will also be logged out of your account if you didn't manually do it when you left. Once you get into your account, click your username to view your page to see what you were banned for, this helps you remember what you did to result in your ban.

Before I start explaining the methods to being unbanned, please know that if you are under the age of 13 and were banned on deviantART for that sole purpose, you will not be able to get your account back until you are 13, and even then you need to provide scan of your birth certificate as proof of age.

Alright, so here are thr step by step instructions to notify DeviantART about your account.

First: You need to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the deviantART page, there you will see a section called ''Contact Us'', you will click that, and it will take you to a new page where you will see the following;
DeviantART Help:

If you need assistance with any deviantART related issues, or wish to report a problem with the site, please visit:
    Frequently Asked Questions
    Main Customer Service
    Prints Customer Service

You want to select ''Main Customer Service''

There you will see a list of categories to choose from, within those categories should be account ban appeal or ''Ban Appeal'', select that, and enter a topic.

After you have entered your topic, explain your situation in the dialogue box, and be sure to mean what you say. Tell DeviantART how you will not repeat your previous bannable actions, and apologize to the Admins for taking part in such actions. Ask if you can have your account back, and an admin will give you a response, and either give you a few days till you can be unbanned, or immediately. It depends on the admin and policy.

Now remember, deviantART is a very popular and very busy art site, they have MANY tickets to check, but from what I've heard they don't back log appeals as one admin has told me. But if they are a few days late, give them a break and time, it's a busy site.

If you're worried about being banned, please be sure to take time to read the TOS and Privacy Policies to avoid the possibilities of your account being banned. I know it's a lot to read, but it can keep you're account safe.

As well, yes, there is a lot of drama and immature people on dA, and I'm sure a lot of us have been through the ''Reply and block'' person, who feels they are only safe on their highest of horses and just the KEWLEST winner if they reply and block you. Now before you think about making or logging into another account to give another word, think again, this is a bannable offense! Be mature, and walk away from the conversation knowing YOU were in the right for not doing the wrong [by meaning, replying then blocking, because who ever does that is just wheeping on their pillows of BAWWWWWW], if you put yourself in the action of avoiding a block to reply to the user, this is called 'Block Evading' which is yet, another banable offense and what I was previously banned for. So remember, just hide the comment or walk away! Don't bother with it!

Hope this helps! :'D

This may sound terrible, but I would like some advice on how TO get someone banned. His abuse is mostly in notes, so they cannot be proven, and although he has a gallery full of screenshots and a small list of maybe 12 or so stolen works from other deviants, I don't know if reporting them all will get him removed. I have notified the artists he stole from and contacted art theft groups. The help desk says all I can do is rport the stolen works.

And when I say "abuse", I mean it. I've been treated worse, but when you constantly belittle someone, try to control their life, that is abuse. Especially when they ask you to stop and you scream that they're a "bitch" (I don't swear, I am quoting him) and a "fucking lunatic" for not letting you hurt them, then scream in all caps "fuck you" (with many "o"s and "u"s)---that is also abuse. Thankfully he has blocked me after the "f you", but with the way he treats people and his constant stealing I think he should be banned. Permanently.

Will reporting his stolen works get him banned? Maybe I sound cold, wanting someone banned, but I had a lot of patience with this person even as he yelled at me numerous times. If it was about just going separate ways, I would be fine. It's just that he has no intention of stopping his behavior.

Is it ban evading if you use your friends account which they made before you got banned? Also my parents won't let me show strangers my birth certificate do we have to scan it?

I have a question,
My friend got banned a few moths ago because she was under 13 years old and today is her birthday, and she still hasn't gotten her account back and I'm not sure if she knows how to get it back.
And so I ask you, who do you send the birth certificate to?

here are the steps that helped me out on an old account that i had:

Scroll all the way to the bottom and click on ''Contact Us''

Click main Customer service

You choose a Category (if you're not sure which one to use then click on the question mark beside it to give you some info on them)

Subject:''UnderAge Problem'' (or something like that)

then you write a description on how you were underage but its your birthday (Month: Day: Year: blah blah) and there is no birth certificate required

after you are done with the description you send the message but don't get your hopes up TOO soon it takes a while for the dA staff to reply (weeks or so)

i am sure it will work but im not 100% posotive maybe but i don't know im sure of it that it WILL work ^^
